PACNY is proud to announce the following 2022 Preservation Award recipients:
- The Jasena R. Foley Award is given to the Historic Oakwood Cemetery Preservation Association (HOCPA) in recognition of their careful stewardship of the historic cemetery, including passionate care for its built resources and designed landscapes.
- The Harley J. McKee Award is given to Beth Crawford, Aaron Dewey, Alan Foley and Charlotte Flynn in recognition of their collaboration and skilled reconstruction work at 465 Allen Street in Syracuse, NY.
- The Pat Earle Award is given to the Cazenovia Heritage, Inc. in recognition of its support for the preservation of important historic and culturally significant resources in greater Cazenovia.
- A Preservation Merit Award is given to Paulus Development in recognition of the successful rehabilitation of the Smith Supply building at 500 Erie Boulevard East in Syracuse, NY.
- The Dean Biancavilla Award is given to Rev. Paul G. and Christine Carter in recognition of over thirty years of care, preservation, and management of the Harriet Tubman home in Auburn, NY.
- The CNY Heritage Award is given to Madison County Planning in recognition of their work in improving the historic landscape features at Delphi Falls County Park, Madison County.
- A Stewardship Award is given to Mary Anne and Joseph Giacona in recognition of nearly twenty years of preservation and care of the historic St. John’s Episcopal Church (aka The Center) in Auburn, NY.
- The Paul Malo Award is given to Pathfinder Bank and VIP Structures in recognition of their work in the rehabilitation of 506 West On onondaga Street in Syracuse, NY.
- The Wilma T. Auer Award is given to Grant Johnson in recognition of his service to PACNY.
PACNY is excited that this year it can once again hold an in-person awards event on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 3 p.m. at the Oneida Community Mansion House at 170 Kenwood Avenue in Oneida, NY! Registration for the event is $10 for PACNY members and $25 for non-members. Registration ends October 9th, 2022. However, we will be accepting walk-ins paying cash on the day of the event!
The event will feature light refreshments and drinks, a presentation on the history and architecture of the property, guided tours, and a presentation of awards in the Mansion’s auditorium.
