This year we are presenting the Stewardship Award to the City of Auburn and their public works department. Stewardship Awards are given to individuals, organizations, or civic agencies that have maintained exceptionally high standards of care for historic properties or landscapes. Share history about Hoopes Park. For many years, public works has continued to care for the historic designed landscape of Hoopes Park. Hoopes Park is considered eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, and is an excellent example of an early 20th-century designed suburban landscape, complete with stone water features, clubhouses, and plantings. Auburn resident and past PACNY President, Andy Roblee accepted the award on the city’s behalf from current PACNY President, Ariel Bero.
