PACNY Accepting Nominations for 2021 Awards Program and Eight That Can’t Wait threatened properties list

The Preservation Association of Central New York (PACNY) is accepting nominations for its 2021 awards ceremony at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. PACNY’s annual awards bring recognition to owners, builders, artisans, designers, educators and activists who work to preserve Central New York’s most distinctive historic resources. 

Due to the ongoing uncertainty related to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution for our constituents, this year’s ceremony will again be held in a free virtual ceremony. The deadline for nominations is September 24, 2021 Nominations are free, and projects in PACNY’s five-county region are eligible. Ceremony registration details will be forthcoming.

As part of this year’s virtual ceremony, a very special behind-the-scenes tour of the Hilltop House at the Stone Quarry Art Park in Cazenovia, NY. We will also be presenting the 2021 Eight That Can’t Wait, PACNY’s annual threatened properties list.

All nominations will be reviewed by PACNY’s Awards Committee and approved by PACNY’s Board of Directors. Nomination forms can be found at this link!

PACNY was founded in 1977 and covers Madison, Onondaga, Oswego, Cortland, and Cayuga counties. The organization is dedicated to the preservation of the historic resources of Central New York that are essential to the cultural and economic well-being of the community. It works independently and in cooperation with other civic organizations and preservation groups to produce and disseminate information on the value of historic preservation throughout the CNY region.
